Building up our castle in the sky called 'De Uitki Building up our castle in the sky called 'De Uitkijk' ('The Lookout' once again in de Piekfabriek in Rotterdam for 2 weeks of rehearsals.
Back in my happy place! It's been quiet here for Back in my happy place! It's been quiet here for a bit, since I was gone on paternity after the birth of my son and spending some lovely family time (also very much a happy place). Now I'm back at it, playing around and getting ready for the next big project, coming soon. I'm excited and proud of everything coming this year, from a big outdoors production to a podcast, to a television series and more. Everything with that Monki style optimism, so please stay tuned. "Met een terugblik van waar komen we in hemelsnaam "Met een terugblik van waar komen we in hemelsnaam vandaan en hoe zijn we hier gekomen dat het er nu zo vreedzaam uitziet met elkaar?"Ik wil wat van mijn gesprekken deze week met jullie delen. Omdat ze me raakten of inspireerden. Vandaag sprak ik Fiona. Ik vroeg haar hoe zij wenste dat haar buurt er over 50 jaar uit ziet. Ze zei (onder andere):"Hmmm, ik zie heel veel groene velden. Zodat mensen wat meer in stilte kunnen leven en tegelijkertijd daardoor weer ruimte hebben om wat meer te genieten in het leven. Met een terugblik van waar komen we in hemelsnaam vandaan en hoe zijn we hier gekomen dat het er nu zo vreedzaam uitziet met elkaar? Eigenlijk is het terug naar vooruit in mijn ogen. En ik zie eigenlijk alleen maar groei. Een heleboel groei En geduld. Bij ieder. Ja, dat is heel mooi om te zien. Ik zie bellen. Van die bellenblaas dingetjes, zeg maar. Dat mensen gaan bellen blazen en weet je... elkaar troosten, er voor elkaar willen zijn. Ik zie heel veel zonneschijn en mensen die hun eigenwaarde inzien, eindelijk.
